Plot Summary

What’s a little arson between friends?

Undercover CIA agent Fortune Redding spent her first three weeks in Sinful, Louisiana, dodging insults, makeup advice, guard dogs, bullets, and Deputy Carter Trahan, both professionally and personally. But just when she thinks things are going to settle down in the small bayou town, someone sets her friend Ally’s house on fire. Carter, who’d just started pursuing Fortune on a personal basis, goes back into cop mode and admonishes her to stay out of his investigation. This time, he swears, he won’t issue any warning before arresting her.

But with her friend’s safety hanging in the balance, Fortune can’t resist taking matters into her own hands and calls on her partners in crime fighting, Ida Belle and Gertie, to help. This is a mission for Swamp Team 3.

Audiobook Review

I just had the pleasure of listening to Swamp Team 3 Audiobook Free by Jana DeLeon and let me tell you, this book had me laughing from start to finish. Ida Bell and Gertie are up to their old tricks, and some new ones, and of course, Fortune is stuck right in the middle.

This one was different from the rest in the series and it’s a welcome deviation. First, we get to know more about Ally and get a lot more of Carter (wink, wink). It’s just hard to believe that 4 books into the series and really only a month has gone by lives of these quirky characters.

There wasn’t a single thing I would change about this story. It had the right amount of mystery, romance, and sassy humor. The romance is just enough to have you rooting for Fortune and Carter to get together without all the sex scenes that some authors use to fill pages but detract from the plot. All in all, the perfect combination.

Hilarious, fun, spunky, and witty! A definite must-listen for anyone who loves a humorous mystery!
